Stories by Heart Faithbooking groups often meet once a month, in person or virtually. In between our group sessions, you're encouraged to spend some time exploring certain themes & stories from your life & perhaps journaling through them. We will always look to the Lord first as the author and editor of our stories - He is the one writing them with us.

While together, expect to spend time in His Scripture, share a bit of your own story, and listen to others in our group. We will have guided prompts to help us process our stories, and we will often be copying Scripture too. Some sessions will have a secondary book that may help guide our discussion & prompts. While we process through the stories we each know by heart, our hands will also be busy - cutting, punching, arranging photos, journal boxes and cut paper into beautiful collage arrangements that tell the story of your life with God - and how He has been at work with you and in you.

You'll have the opportunity to to add those memories, stories & photos into a beautiful archival & photo-safe Creative Memories album. (You choose the size - it can be large or very small). These workshop groups are consistent and many have found them meaningful. It is also often a surprise at how the conversations flow while our hands are busy making things.

Nope! You could do this without ever having scrapbooked before. And if the thought of scrapbooking overwhelms you, rest assured simple is meaningful. Your story is beautiful, no matter how it is (or is not) embellished. Some Faithbooks will be focused on the journaling aspect. Others will lean more heavily toward the photo-side. And others will be somewhere in between. That's the beauty of scrapbooking - each person has their own style & preferred method. If you can follow a cooking recipe or simple cutting guide, you'll be just fine. I will have layouts prepared to guide you as you create your pages; these layouts will be designed with beginning scrapbookers in mind. I'll also have some modifications if you'd like to add some extra embellishments, or if you are creating a smaller sized book.

This varies based on the group's desires. Typically, at least 6-8 sessions (6-8 months), but sometimes up to a year or more. Once a workshop group is formed, we will hammer out the length of time we all feel comfortable with. After the 1st session, you're welcome to invite a friend to join in, but after the second session, these become closed groups to facilitate relationship & community-building. It is nice if all participants know each other, but can also be very meaningful if we start as strangers and form friendships along the way. In-person workshop time commitment is about 2 hours.

We'll have a base cost for the entire Faithbooking timeframe. This can be paid prior to our first workshop, or split into two or three payments. The cost of CM album cover, refill pages & embellishments/supplies are in addition to this fee, but will be offered at a discounted rate.

Yes, of course! If you'd like to gather a group & you all prefer to meet over a 2 or 3 day retreat or 6+ weeks instead of months - connect with me. We can create a Faithbooking group or retreat to suit your needs. You may find that this becomes a kick-off or starting point for your group to continue faithbooking together or to continue processing & creating on your own.

Yes. In my experience though, it is good to begin with another trusted friend who is also ready to process and share their stories. A companion or two greatly enhances the conversations & memory-giving experience. If you'd like to have a printed guide for your own faithbooking journey, I am in the process of creating those, and they'll be available for download in my online shop.

You may benefit from the companionship of a Spiritual Director who can walk alongside you, hold space for you to share your story and questions, and help you discern God's holy work in your life.
